Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: www.abpiexamtoolkit.uk

McKenzie Mills Partnership Ltd (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates http://abpiexamtoolkit.uk (the “Site”). Our registered office is 22 St John Street, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, MK16 8HJ, UK.

We can be contacted at admin(at)abpiexamtoolkit.uk or here.

Scope

We comply with data protection legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). This regulates the processing of Personal Information relating to you and grants you various rights in respect of your Personal Information.

Our aim in this policy is to inform you of how we use any Personal Information we collect or you provide through our Site. The data controller in respect of this Site is McKenzie Mills Partnership Limited.

Any queries should be sent to admin(at)abpiexamtoolkit.uk.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

What we’d really like you to know and to understand is that we’re a teeny tiny company run on ethical principles and based on promoting a culture of conscience (rather than the culture of compliance that necessitates GDPR and the like). That means we can’t begin to get our heads around nefarious practices that involve playing fast and loose with your data let alone get up to any.

While using our Site, if you decide to take advantage of the products and services we offer, we ask you to provide us with personally identifiable information (like your name or your email address) so that we can contact you or provide you with our products or services.

In the future, we might get around to occasionally stalking you via Facebook adverts. But, we’re too focused on helping people at the moment to get into how to do this, and the budget’s too tight to waste it on Facebook. Besides, we think that if you really want our help and our resources you’ll jump right in to get what you need without us getting in your face. Okay?

Read on for the serious stuff.

Communications

When you provide your Personal Information, we may use it to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information about content relating to the Site. You may unsubscribe at any time from this service, which means your Personal Information will be removed from our contact database, and you will no longer receive communications from us.

Do not sell my personal information

We do not sell or share your personal information. We use it only for the purposes stated above in Communications.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you’re using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Our Third Party Data Processors

Mailchimp

MailChimp is our current data processor, which collects and stores your personal data that you provide when you complete our sign-up forms.

We rely on your consent as the lawful basis for processing your data, using a double-opt in process. This means that we’ve made it clear to you what you’re signing up for in our sign-up forms, and that when you submit your details,  you won’t receive anything from us until you’ve verified that the email address you gave us is actually yours. If you don’t complete this step, then you won’t be able to get any of our stuff to support you in your ABPI exam revision. (That’d be such a shame – when we’re here to help – wouldn’t it? Whatevah…It’s not like we’re looking for a longterm commitment here; besides, you can opt-opt whenever you want.)

Your personal data is stored within our MailChimp account, in order to allow us to create and use distribution lists, send marketing email campaigns, and place online advertisements (if we ever get round to blowing the budget on ads). According to the lovely peeps at Mailchimp, in the performance of these services, they may transfer your personal data to certain of their sub-processors (who, as described in their Data Processing Agreement, perform some critical services, such as helping MailChimp prevent abuse and providing support to their customers). Read Mailchimp’s Privacy policy for further information.

Payhip

Our Site includes links to our Digital Store provided via our Distributor, Payhip, where our frankly fabulous resources (otherwise known as Digital Content) may be purchased. Payhip (Privacy Policy) processes Personal Information on our behalf relating to purchase of our Digital Content. In other words, you tell Payhip where to deliver the download link to our stuff and hey presto: they take your money; send you the link; tell us that we’ve made a sale, giving us details of what you’ve bought. (That makes us sooo happy… but this isn’t about us.)

We don’t store or have access to Personal Information you submit to Payhip concerning your financial transaction (i.e. your credit card details or your PayPal account details aren’t shared with us).

PayPal and Stripe

PayPal and Stripe are our payment processors, where your Personal Information is processed on our behalf when you make a purchase, or pay for our tutorial or coaching services.  PayPal or Stripe notify us when you’ve completed a transaction. We don’t store or have access to Personal Information you submit via PayPal or Stripe concerning financial transactions (i. e. credit card details).

Reservio

Reservio is our booking system provider, where your Personal Information is processed on our behalf relating to booking tutorials. Reservio notify us when you book a tutorial, so we can follow up with you. We don’t store or have access to Personal Information you submit to Reservio.

Cookies

This website uses cookies.

Cookies are small text files that can be used by websites to make a user’s experience more efficient. These types of cookies help to personalise content and ads, to provide social media features and to analyse our traffic. Some of them share information about your use of our site with our social media, advertising and analytics partners who may combine it with other information that you’ve provided to them or that they’ve collected from your use of their services.

It’s up to you to select which cookies to accept in our cookie notice, served when you first visit our site. Further details about these cookies are accessible in the cookie notice. (On the other hand, you don’t have to do anything other than click the “OK” button to accept the cookies necessary to make the site work properly, as well as get rid of the notice.)

Analytics

Like many sites, we use “performance cookies” to collect statistics on how people use our Site. For example, we use GA cookies to track user interactions. We use this data to determine the number of people using our Site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages. The data stored by these cookies never shows personal details from which your individual identity can be established. You can also disable cookies on your internet browser to stop GA from tracking any part of your visit to pages within this Site.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we’ll also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Quizlet

Quizlet is a flashcard application, which we use and administer to provide sets of flashcards available only to our customers, who join our classes. As administrator of these classes, we can view members’ usernames and progress; however, unless you tell us, we cannot identify you from your username. We do not store or have access to Personal Information you submit to Quizlet.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data

The security of your Personal Information is important to us.

We will report any unlawful data breach of this Site’s database, or the database(s) of our third party data processors to relevant authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it’s apparent that Personal Information stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen.
